         Under the action of catalyst, methanol has a cracking temperature of 230-280℃ (absorbing heat of about 1679 Kcal/kg). The cracked mixture gas is 1.4m³ hydrogen and 0.7m³ carbon monoxide, and its calorific value is 6370 Kcal/kg, which is far higher than its own calorific value of 4650 Kcal/kg, How to use the waste heat of industrial kilns (about 300℃ ) to crack methanol, so as to improve the calorific value of methanol.

         The methanol cracking and combustion technology desiened and developed by Luoyang Yuxin Technology team adopts amulti-stage multi-nozzle guiding structure, which does not require a complex methanol hydrogen production system. Under theaction of catalyst,the methanol can be vaporized.heated, cracked and burned with the waste heat of industrial kilns in one go!

         Technical Advantages, The combustion rate of methanol cracking is sienificantly accelerated, resulting in enhanced rieidityand extended flame length, This confieuration provides superior heat transfer eficiency for laree-scale industrial kiins. Unlikeconventional hydrogen-assisted combustion using natural gas, methanol cracking utilizes methanol as the primary fuel sourceNotably, while methanol atomization combustion produces harmful byproducts like formaldehvde and formic acid, methanolcracking combustion exclusively generates carbon and water vapor without additional pollutants, Furthermore, its carbonemissions are reduced to merely 50% of those from natural gas combustion.

Scope of Renovation

  1. Keep the original furnace body unchanged according to the site situation, and make use of some valve groups;

  2. Modify to methanol cracking and combustion system; upgrade the automatic control system;

  3.Add methanol valve station,meterine and safety control system.


 The whole system includes the integration of machinery, electricity and instrument. The project cycle: including design,production, transportation, guidance installation and debugging, technical training, about 30 days.

Energy Analysis

         The thermal energy released from methanol cracking,combustion is 6,370 kcal/kg, while natural gas has a calorific value of 8,300 kcal/kg. At current market prices, natural gas costs 4 /m³ and methanol  2.2/kg - which is merely 55% of naturalgas's price. This means the methanol cracking, combustion technology can reduce industrial kilns combustion costs by over 40%.

         Investment Return Cycle:Approximately  6 months.
